    Can a tribe’s anyone’s religious freedom claims halt a major copper mine accomplish anything?

    As someone who lives in a state with “religious freedumb” laws on the books, I can assure you that they only had one religion in mind when they wrote them.

      Correct. Christianity is the only religion in America that “counts.” At least in the eyes of the judiciary.

      This article is a fascinating discussion about American courts refusal to treat Jews’ religious freedom (in the context of abortion) the same way as Christian religious freedom.

      If the courts aren’t okay with Jews exercising our religion freely, then they’re definitely not going to be okay with indigenous religions.
