I feel like this might be describing just Instagram, because I have no idea what they mean by buzzwords and butter text. But from the images I’m assuming that’s Instagram.

Fedi is definitely social media and has many many problems, some of them perhaps inherent to any social media I’m sure. But posting sure doesn’t feel pointless here, it feels fun.

Edit: oh OK I wasn’t done reading. We definitely yell here lol oh boy howdy

Maybe that means building things that are smaller and closer and less visible to everyone.

Heeeyy, we might be on the right track.

Unfortunately though, the world has been getting to a point where living under a peaceful rock is a luxury. When simple things like grocery prices going up cause of geopolitical events happen, it gets really hard to zone out.

What’s most exhausting is that those who are not below water or aren’t close yet refuse to acknowledge the reality and that something has to be done sooner rather than later.

I think the Fediverse still suffers from the “screaming” issue, but some strategic mutes and hiding boosts from users, plus never looking too long at the “all” sections and it’s pretty nice.
