Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•When you find a new podcast that has lots of episodes already recorded, do you start at the beginning, the latest, or what?

Technology@lemmy.world•The first folding e-reader is smaller than a paperbackEnglish
13·9 months agoInteresting! I just recently upgraded my old 6" Kindle to a 7" Kobo. I’m very happy about it, and the extra size is nice. If a more portable reader that doesn’t compromise on screen size exists when I’m ready to upgrade next I’m all for it
In Denmark they’re called pandekager and look like yours. American pancakes would be specified as amerikanske pandekager.

Privacy@lemmy.ml•Garmin watch - updates without connecting to the Internet “offline”
3·10 months agoJust curious, what features work and what do you have to miss out on by foregoing Garmin connect? On their website Garmin devices are generally listed as partially supported, and I’m not sure what that entails.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•people who know more than one language, are your settings in english or another language?
4·11 months agoI have everything in English, even though it is not my native language. It was what the versions of DOS were as a kid, and I got so used to it that using the Danish version seems odd to me.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•How old were you when you learned that Santa Claus wasn’t real?
10·1 year agoI don’t remember actually honestly believing it at any point. It was more like a fun thing in my family, and I was even Santa Claus myself for my little brother when I wasn’t that old.
English is my secondary language, but I’ve always been drawn to it. I live in Denmark and we don’t dub TV shows, but subtitle them instead. Also I started reading novels in English at a young age, so that has surely helped.
