How are they supposed to feed it into their LLMs later if it’s encrypted??
Spotify is usually reported as one of the worst paying for the artists.
They also don’t distribute the value by time listened, but pool in and award the largest artists (don’t remember the specifics, you might need to look it up).
They were also found/accused of using their auto generated playlists with made-up artists who’s money goes to ‘noone’, just shady stuff.
That’s partly a manufacturer issue, a lot more difficult problem to solve than it may seem.
There’s a gif at the bottom of the article. Looks similar to any video scrubbing interface.
They’re all proprietary, so it’s less than ideal.
LDAC is owned by Sony and supported by some Androids.
Samsung has their own codec, Apple does too - each vendor locked.
Then there’s Qualcomm’s aptX/HD, which should now be fully supported by Android.
I don’t use apple, so can’t comment on other options there.
The bluetooth remark is a bit misleading, there are codecs that provide better audio, which is even noticeable on Spotify.
If you have earphones that support LDAC for example (sony XMs are popular where I live), you can even use that with Windows via 3rd party software (search Win A2DP - not free, but can recommend).
Corps sure can’t
Inkscape has been a lifesaver many times, but it’s packed like a shit in a bag.
I can’t believe they still use the old file selection on windows without a path input box. I literally can not open a file from my network drive. It doesn’t even remember the last path!
The easiest workflow I found is to just copy projects to downloads for editing.
Besides other things.
You don’t? Really?
I’ve tried all the popular alternatives, and not one was better.
Theoretically, buying the songs without DRM felt best, but having enjoyed nearly 6,5K different artists on Spotify so far, that won’t really work.
Unfortunately, as an average consumer, that means I’m sticking with Spotify for now.

I love the change. I have many playlists and it has made my life so much easier organising everything.
Assuming it’d be cheaper than tapes, absolutely.
It can sometimes triangulate you better than the cell towers.
Kinda, as the word implies. If it’s a software update, call it that; the car’s not going back to the shop/manufacturer.
They’re still rgb plus maybe yw using colour mixing, so depending on the quality, tuning, physics and our perceptionof light, not all colours are as nice or bright.
Well, a large part of the issue are all the damn exceptions
