Europe@feddit.org•How Close Was Russia to NATO Membership?English
251·4 months agoNo, Russia would just try to corrode NATO from within the same way his American puppet is doing. Nothing would be gained by adding PutinLand into NATO

Europe@feddit.org•Qwant and Ecosia debut Staan, a European search index that aims to take on Big TechEnglish
5·5 months agoYou were right about Ecosia, it is not a search engine as stated. In the beginning I believed they used just Bing for their search, but today they use both Bing and Google, although their goal is to replace them in the future probably with a qwant partnership

92·5 months agoGreat, I’ve been using ecosia for a while now, let’s hope the transition is not very troubling.
PS: I believe Google is still useful whenever I have to look for a product to buy though

Europe@feddit.org•Ukraine proposes fresh peace talks with Russia next weekEnglish
2·6 months agoNo, I’m suggesting the world is not fair and relations between countries are anarchical. If you take an aggressive stance against other countries, specially your neighbors, you should be prepared to defend it.
So Ukraine wanting to join NATO is only one part of the game and other countries might wanna play too

Europe@feddit.org•Ukraine proposes fresh peace talks with Russia next weekEnglish
25·6 months agoAs we’ve seen already. This is a very naive take.
What a country should be able to do or not is only valid if they have military might to defend their position
Ukraine obviously don’t have that against Russia

I’m reading this kind of news for a few years now
The same for so many industries. First Chinese make bad cheap copies, than ok cheap copies then they make better and cheaper stuff. And the original manufacturer goes down because why buy more expensive and worse quality products?
