  • from my own experience, i would say let the kid play the instrument they want, or sing while playing–don’t try to limit or close things off for them.

when i was a kid in elementary school, i wanted to play saxophone. i was told no, you have to play clarinet first. so i did. then when i wanted to graduate to saxophone, i was told no, you’re too good at clarinet, and we need you on clarinet. i developed such a burning irrational hatred for clarinet that i eventually lost all interest in saxophone

now i exclusively play death/black metal guitar, which i love, but everyone else hates. do i play because everyone hates it? maybe, but don’t care

  • it’s for the surveillance for the christotechnofascists who need to convince all the pearl clutching evangelist deadbedroom karen moms that their kids are going to instantly become satanic infant eaters if they catch a glimpse of how infants get made, in order to get them foaming at the mouth to vote against everything except what the billionaire owner class wants

the messaging is pretty much “you shouldn’t have to be responsible for raising your own fucking kids–that should be up to the internet, public school, and libraries”

and of course those gullible chuds lap it all up like hogs at the trough

  • “we are here today doing what we do because boredom has guided us toward greater and greater challenges and bigger and more complex brains”

i’m no evolutionary psychologist, but come on… humans evolved bigger brains because we were bored? and yet no other species in the history of the planet has been “bored” enough to evolve intelligence?
