i know overdrive & libby works with kobo, along with integrated with google drive and dropbox-- you can connect to your wifi and download whatever books you have on your cloud. but, as i mentioned, i usually just obtain epubs and xfer them directly to the reader via calibre (also highly recommended, even without an ereader)

i have the kobo libra color and love it. i wanted something that wasn’t a spyware telescreen corporate listening device, and not be shackled to proprietary formats. other readers may do all that, but nothing about the kobo makes me want to try something else
