Hey look, yet another GQP talking point that boils down to not understanding (or willfully dismissing) the idea of consent. Rapists one and all.

35% to the lawyers
15% to court, state, lawyer administrative costs
40% to Governor’s cousin’s LLC established since last Tuesday specializing in child online safety issues according to their website which goes on to read “would you like me to create promotional flyers and other materials in addition to the website”?
15% nobody can trace where it went - but did you know BOYS are playing GIRL sports?!
25% to a program that passively encourages risky online behavior
20% to pro-business tax breaks
That’s right taxpayer, you’re gonna need to chip in for the extra 50%.

“up to” over 10 years, which means they’ll pay 1.8B this year, a massive 3% of annual income, for now and find a way to get out of this before the decade is up

I agree. Our starting position is all flock cameras should be taken down and then shoved up Garrett Langley’s ass. Every single one of them.
Now let us come to the table and find a compromise.

We need politicians with actionable plans worth voting for
Reading is hard, yo

Yes, biding time and running a pincher strategy of sending out some people to kiss the ring and sending significantly more to the watch groups, industry partners, and courts. Though we’ve also lost as many people to foreign institutions in the last two years as in the previous twenty.
The GOP courted the anti-intellectual vote because their ideology no longer had popular support. It was a deal with the devil and now the devil has come to collect. It’s unlikely they can wind back that deal. The only hope is that more voters wake up and start to understand the impacts of putting morons in charge.

Oceania will not tolerate Eurasia giving technology to Eastasia.

Great context. Though you should probably change all that talk of the US funding research to the past tense, or the in-freefall-collapse-as-budgets-are-slashed-and-political-goons-replace-science-advisors tense, which is rarely used but the current situation fits.

Sorry, would it make you feel better if I explicitly add EVENT next to MOVIE? The EVENT is named after the MOVIE. Neither of which are the BAND. TRADEmark, not OWNTHEWORDSmark.

A few answers:
Sounds like you have a shitty bank.
Traditional mail is important in the US because not everyone has access to the technology you speak of. Keep in mind, the USA is 50 countries in a trenchcoat and many areas / states are 3rd world.
Institutions like to use the previous point to justify not updating systems or keeping systems intentionally frustrating in the hopes people will not bother them.

This seems like a stretch. The MOVIE had a similar name to the BAND. Remember in 2013 when a movie came out literally called “Rush”? Geddy Lee didn’t take Ron Howard to court. Trademarks do not transcend all trades/media. Nintendo has a line of Demon Hunter games. D&D has a class Demon Hunter.
Using search results as the basis is borderline nonsense. Apply that logic to say, a disaster. “Ever since the town of Metallica exploded our search results are down, so we’re taking them to court!” Nonsense. How about science? “Since it was announced comet KMFDM, a name derived using some standard naming convention, was announced to be slamming into earth next year, our search results are way down!”. TRADEmark, not OWNTHEWORDSmark.
The KPop band is called HUNTR/X. If they had been called Demon Hunters then yeah, probably a case.

It must be so exhausting to put words in people’s mouths then tell them those words are wrong. You should take a break. You earned it.

Yes, though I wouldn’t call this one unimportant. There is a real problem on the left with trying to make exhaustive lists when saying “everyone” (or the appropriate variation) would do a much, much better job in a few ways. Most list makers at least have the sense to end with “and everyone else” or “everyone treated unfairly” or whatever, but occasionally that part gets left off and it just feels like a huge fuck you to everyone not included.

Agreed on the transaction part. Too many times I’ve seen game devs giveth and taketh away willy nilly like people aren’t PAYING THEM FUCKING MONEY. Sadly, it seems as though this brainrot is spreading into other industries instead of being corrected at the source, which checks out for the Roaring 20s.

Except the part where the lady died. That was a hint. People who are actively dying rarely behave “normally”.
Yes, middle school level reading skills are super deep.
This is one of those situations where I’d have to write an essay to dive into everything wrong. I’m not going to do all that just to have you say “nu uh”. Here’s one example:
The title is “I can’t use Linux! It’s too hard!” yet the crying bell curve person in the middle is literally using Linux.
Did you mean for the title to say “the terminal”? That would change things. But that’s sort of my point, everything has this one off LLM vibe.

I didn’t say people there were satisfied with the status quo. I said they had fantasy-based thinking instead of actionable plans and, for some reason, are letting the GOP sane-wash itself so long as they blame what they did on Trump. Both of those actions are quite anti-status quo. They’re also really, really stupid.

This is 100% the wrongminded mentality we are talking about. We need systemic change to how we vote. We need politicians with actionable plans worth voting for. We need people who understand how voting ACTUALLY works in this country. But nah, man, just fucking vote! That’s the solution!!1!
I hope he never has another moment of peace in his entire life until Flock is abolished. Even then…
