Nvidia has introduced the Open Agent Safety Platform, pairing the OpenShell runtime with Sentry, a hardware-level reference design. OpenShell runs AI agents in sandboxes and restricts their access to files, processes, networks, tools, services and credentials. Sentry, based on Nvidia DOCA and BlueField-4 DPUs, is designed to verify an agent’s identity and delegated authority, enforce access policies and quarantine workloads. IBM says its Agent Identity technology and HashiCorp Vault integrate with OpenShell, preserving the distinction between the human principal and the agent acting on their behalf in audit records. Nvidia says more than 100 organizations are working with the platform. https://www.biometricupdate.com/202609/nvidia-adds-identity-and-delegated-authority-controls-for-ai-agents
